About Commissioned Portraits - We receive many inquiries about commissions. Here are answers to a few of the main questions we receive.

• What Exactly Is A Commission ? A commissioned portrait is a one-of-a-kind painting of a specific subject that is done by an artist for a client.

• What Medium Is Used? Lesley Harrison paints in pastel - a pure pigment that dates back to the 16th Century. All paintings are professionally framed and ready to hang upon delivery.

• How Long Does It Take? Most commissions are completed within 6 to 8 months from the time you contact us, but MUST be ordered in advance, especially if it is to be a gift.

• How Much Does A Commissioned Portrait Cost? Pricing is determined by the size and number of subjects in the painting. The larger the painting and the more subjects in the painting, the more it costs. Please Contact Us for pricing. A down payment is required when commissions are accepted.
