Most of you know me for my pastel paintings of horses and wildlife. But now I have a new passion! If you've never tried Scratchboard, then you're in for a treat.

Scratchboard has been around since the 19th century and is considered a fine art medium. Sharp tools are used to "scratch" off the black India ink that has been coated over a white China clay board. When we're finished, it can be varnished, which eliminates the need for glass.

Class meets from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It doesn't matter what your level of expertise is or whether you have ever worked with scratchboard before...I will help each student at their own level and pace.

The workshop includes all materials and a lot of one-on-one instruction and help.
